Gift Wrapping Ideas

If you want to give a gift that is special and stands out from the rest, you might want to start with the way it is wrapped. You can always go with the regular paper wrap and ribbons but there are other ways to make the gift more unique.

Start by thinking about whom you are sending the gift to and why. Consider if they are a pet lover or have a hobby that stands out from the rest. When you have a theme, you can then decorate the gift you are wrapping.

Here are some gift wrapping ideas.

Bouquet Wrap

If you know someone who loves flowers you can start by buying green wrapping paper. At your local craft store you can purchase little plastic flowers and ribbons to arrange a bouquet on the top of the gift. Make sure to use clear plastic thread to tie down and secure the bouquet so that it can be saved.

Green Wrap

If the person you are buying a gift for is going green you can wrap the gift in a reusable shopping bag. They are available in every texture, color and size. Use a Hemp rope to tie down the bag or just place the gift inside the bag.

Blouse Wrap

If you are giving a gift that contains more then one clothing item you can wrap the box with a blouse. Make sure the box you are using is not wider then the blouse and place the box inside of the blouse. You will want the box centered between the shoulders with the collar on the top of the box. Drape the sleeves across the front of the box and secure them on the sides of the box with small safety pins. You can use ties or scarves to decorate the gift.

Baby Wrap

Use a small pink or blue blanket to wrap a gift for a baby. Secure the edges with large diaper pins. Take a ribbon and tie in a bow in the middle of the box. You can tie a small stuffed animal or rattler into the bow.

Sports wrap

If you are buying a gift for an athlete you can wrap it with any color towel. Use a jump rope to tie down the edges. You can also tie a small water bottle or pedometer into the jump rope.

Use your imagination to create new ways to wrap a gift. It adds a personal touch to gift giving and gives you the opportunity to give two or more gifts in one.
