Gifts From Your Child That Are Special

Laura Shook
Have you ever gotten a gift from your child that made you cry? I know I have, several times. Kids can make you the most greatest gifts for you on those special occasions. There the kind of gifts you keep forever. Here are a list that I believe are some of the best gifts that you can receive from your child.

1. Homemade Mothers Day card, is one that I received from my oldest son when he was in 3rd grade. The most wonderful words to a mothers ear. "You are the most wonderful mom in the word, I love you." The gifts that come in a brown bag with coloring on it, that says wait to open till Mothers Day. You open it and see that it is a plant that they had picked out for you, it's the best feeling.

2. Christmas ornaments made in class. Now when your child brings them home for you to put on your tree, it can bring a tear to your eye. The ones that are wrapped up for you to open on Christmas, can give you the most special feeling, and you can treasure them forever

3. Birthday cards and gifts homemade. The cards are the most darling cards you can ever get. Special little writing and drawings in it. A note that says, "I love you mom, Happy Birthday!" The best card you could ever get.

4. Gifts to you just because they love you. I believe those have to be the best from any of the other gifts. You just get the best feeling in the world, knowing how much your child loves you. The kind where you want to hang them on the fridge and show them off for every one to see it.

5. Something that was cooked by your child just for you. Make a breakfast for you, that you get in bed, or soup while you are sick. Maybe even just the smallest thing like a sandwich for you that makes you feel so good.

The best times in your life by far are when your child does something for you that just brings tears to your eyes. Treasure these moments with your child, they don't stay little for very long, and one day you will blink and they will be grown and married. If you have never received that special gift from your child, doesn't mean that your child doesn't love you any less. You will get your chance to get that special gift to make you cry someday.

Married with 3 kids. I live in IL, in a small town. I try to get on the computer as much as my 6 month old will allow. I'm pretty much plane Jane. Not to hard to please.  View profile
