Gifts in a Jar: For Unemployed Friend '" Toffee Coffee Mix Recipe with Prayer
Inspirational Gift in a Jar for the Job Seeker or Unemployed Friend in Your Life
With many of my friends having lost their jobs this year, I wanted to present an inspirational gift. I created a recipe for Toffee Coffee mix and made a couple of batches. The gift in a jar comes decorated with a prayer to the patron Saint of the Unemployed, and of Job Seekers, Saint Cajetan.
SAINT CAJETAN, PATRON SAINT OF THE UNEMPLOYED
Saint Cajetan was born in Italy in 1480. In 1522, he founded a hospital in Venice, Italy for victims of incurable illness. He founded a bank to help the poor and offer an alternative to usurers (loan sharks); it later became the Bank of Naples. He served the sick and poor. You can find out more about him here: http://saints.sqpn.com/saint-cajetan/.
The Prayer for the Unemployed to Saint Cajetan can be printed and attached to the jar. Click on the uploaded photos above to find a printer ready copy of the prayer to Saint Cajetan. This prayer can be said while sipping the drink before starting a day of job seeking, or before a job interview.
PRAYER TO SAINT CAJETAN
I pray - St. Cajetan, hear my prayer
You wanted all who are weary to come to You for support.
Lord, I am worn out by my inability to find work.
Guide my steps to a righteous path; give me the patience to find opportunities with a future.
Calm my worries and fears as my financial responsibilities mount.
Strengthen my resolve; embolden my heart to open doors;
Open my eyes to see life beyond rejections.
Help me believe in me.
Let me realize other ways to bring about Your kingdom on earth.
Let me grow as a person that I may be worthy for Your greater glory.
Amen.
