Gifts for People Who Have Everything

Gifts for Anniversaries, Birthdays and the Holidays

Katie Just

We all have that one friend or family member that has everything. Gifts for birthdays, the Holidays, and anniversaries seem impossible to find. You have to prepare months in advance for a gift, only to resort to giving a gift card in the end. This person is not hard to buy for, they are impossible to buy for. Well, with a little searching, that problem can be solved. I have compiled a list of items that are not only functional, they are downright odd, certain not to be something the recipient already has in a closet somewhere collecting dust.

- Hanging frame vases. Whether the flowers are fresh or silk, they can be displayed in a vase that appears to be a piece of wall art. Inside the frame is a water reservoir for fresh flowers. The frames are metal, and add a touch of modern style to any room. The set of three frame vases sells for $48.

- Digital slideshow picture frames are sure to be a welcome addition to anyone's living space. Just download a few of them onto a flash memory card, and load them into the frame. Settings allow the user to show one picture at a time, several pictures as a slide show, or multiple pictures as thumbnails on the screen at once, and gives the option to show portrait or landscape display. At $199.00, this frame may seem expensive, but for people that have a lot of photos to display, it will be a gift they will use often.

- The Aero-Garden would be perfect for the chef in your family or circle of friends. No green thumb, dirt, or sunlight is needed to grow fresh herbs and small vegetables right on the kitchen counter. The base of the Aero-Garden is 6"x16" and has a hood that holds two grow bulbs. The Aero-Grow comes in two heights, 15.5" and 21". This little gadget sells for about $150.00 but would be worth every cent for someone that loves to cook and use fresh ingredients.

- Leetspeak Scrabble would be perfect for that friend or relative that takes pride in being a geek. This set of 103 tiles can be used with the classic Scrabble board, and comes with a maual. Words like "h4x0r" and "pwn3d" are certain to land some triple word scores. This set of tiles with manual costs just under $11.00, and will be a welcome addition to your geeky friend's game collection.

- A RoboMower might put you on your father-in-law's good side once and for all. With this battery operated mower, all you need to do is outline the property with a small wire, sit back, and let the mower do the work. The RoboMower can cut up to 10,800 square feet of lawn with one charge.

-A coffee table aquarium would be perfect for someone that lives in a small apartment or a minimalist that doesn't like a lot of furniture cluttering up their space. This stylish Midwest Tropical AquaTable is made from clear acrylic, and is illuminated from underneath. The AquaTable aquarium comes with gravel, filter, lighting and plants, and sells for a little over $500.00.

Some of these items may be a bit pricey, but can be given as group gifts. Also, more expensive items may be better suited for the Holidays as opposed to a birthday. Shopping for those people that have everything can be tasking, but is not necessarily impossible.

My lawn would kill the RoboMower, but I know exactly who you are buying for. I am JorRell, Master of Scheduling!
