Many people may find themselves doing their Christmas shopping at the last minute. Whether they have been busy with work, school or have busy family lives, there is a surprising amount of people who fall into this category of doing their Christmas shopping at the last minute. Here is a look at 10 last-minute gifts that are great and affordable all falling under $100.

1. Our first gift is great if you are shopping for a family present. A portable DVD player is great for families especially for families with children because it can be used in a number of different ways. Best Buy features a portable DVD player by Dynex. This 7" wide-screen DVD player features an anti-shock feedback so you get a smooth play even if you are using it in places such as the car. Great for family road trips or for places you know you are going to have a long wait such as the doctors office. This particular portable DVD player sells for only $79.99.

2. A great gift for a boy or girl between the ages of 5 and 10 is a scooter. Besides encouraging them to get outdoors and get some fresh air scooters are incredibly fun and you can get smaller children ones with special designs such as Toy Story designs. These range in price with some quality scooters for as low as $19.99. They can be found at toy stores and many department stores in the toy section. Be sure to add some pads and a helmet for safety!

3. For teens you can never go wrong with gift cards. As one of the toughest groups to shop for you can buy them an American Express gift card which they are able to use at a number of different locations or you can get one at their favorite store. Some popular spots for teens are Gamestop and Bestbuy where they can choose from a number of different products. These come in different denominations from as little as $10 up to $100.

4. Gift cards to restaurants are also a great idea for couples. You can find these at the restaurant of their choice or places such as Walmart and Kmart sell them. They typically come in amounts such as $25 or $50.

5. Chocolate is a great choice of gifts especially for women! During the Christmas season you can find a large assortment of boxed chocolates for the recipient of your choice. Godiva is a popular choice. Known for their delicious, quality chocolate this is one gift that is bound to please just about anyone. Most of them come in beautiful packaging so it saves you on having to wrap them as well. For a nice box of chocolates you can spend as little as $15 or as much as you like.

6. A great gift for those who enjoy photography or just for the proud parent or grandparent is a digital picture frame. Best Buy has a 7" digital frame by Insignia. This digital frame supports a number of different memory card options and even comes with its' own remote. It usually sells for $79.99 but is currently on sale for $49.99.

7. One good option for families is a board game. Scene It games are fun games that come with a DVD you put into your DVD player to assist you in playing. They come in a number of different versions such as Harry Potter, Disney or just basic general movie knowledge. These fun games can be found at toy stores or most department stores for around $35.

8 For video gamers over the age of 17 you can introduce them to the game called Modern Warfare 2. This game is very challenging if can be played in a few different game platforms. It sells for around $70 or less depending upon where you buy it and for what platform you buy it for.

9. For younger gamers who own a Nintendo DS introduce them to Zelda in the new Zelda game for the Nintendo DS called The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks. Fun yet challenging this innocent game is great for kids to play. This game sells for $34.99 and can be found at Gamestop or some toy stores.

10. If you are on a bit of a budget you can never go wrong with movies. If you are not sure what sort of movies the recipient likes it is better to be on the safe side and choose a popular comedy. Some classics include "What About Bob?" or for Christmas time "A Christmas Story". These movies usually sell for under $30 and can be found a number of different stores.
