Gilles Marini is Virtual Perfection on Dancing with the Stars

It's not often I find myself struck dumb watching Dancing with the Stars unless you count some of Steve O's more dubious moves. However Gilles Marini and Cheryl Burke's Paso Doble was, in a word, HOT! His commitment to his craft and his work ethic are obvious. Week after week, he delivers routines that border on perfection. Gilles Marini's Paso started with him shirtless. You could hear a pin drop as each woman in the audience ratcheted her eyes on his lithe physique. Gasps of pleasure erupted as he and Cheryl turned his slipping into a jacket into an erotic tete a tete. Gilles commits whole heartedly to each and every performance. Rather than being discomfited by the sensual nature of the dance, Cheryl and Gilles make their sexual chemistry an integral part of the performance.

Enhancing his sexy quotient is the fact that Gilles Marini is a devoted family man. He has been married to his wife Carole for over ten years and they have two children, George and Juliana.

Gilles Marini came to the notice of many Americans when he appeared as the hot nude guy in the "Sex and the City". Since then "Sex and the City" has taken in over $487 million between theatrical release and home dvd sales. These numbers are probably, thanks in no small part to his full frontal star turn. The sequel to "Sex and the City" is set for release in 2010. Execs are staying pretty close mouthed about the particulars of which supporting characters will be returning for the second installment of Sex. One can only hope that Gilles' increased exposure on Dancing will have him back on set when shooting starts.

Gilles and Cheryl delivered yet another virtually perfect performance. Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli gave them a 10, however the hold out was Len Goodman who said that the performance was hectic in places and favored them with a 9.

Let us consider the Paso Doble, The Matador versus the Bull. The Bull bent on proving its supremacy to this mere mortal who dares step into its domain. The matador equally determined to prevail. Each one, stalking the other as they first advance and then retreat until finally with one powerful thrust, the kill. Is this relationship not the very definition of hectic? Gilles and Cheryl played their parts perfectly. In places, the dance was fervent and in others it reflected a quiet intensity of passion that was beautiful to watch. The fervent parts did not detract from the dance's overall intensity. If anything, the fervor only served to underscore the smoldering power.

Gilles Marini and Cheryl Burke have landed atop the leader board again and seem to be shoo-in to be making room for the mirror ball trophy. They have secured the only perfect score of the season, thus far. However, it's still up to the voters. Who can forget the Sabrina Bryan debacle? Resting atop the leader board one week and summarily dismissed the next. Perhaps Dancing needs a judge's save like Simon Cowell and company over at American Idol.
