It's a well-known fact that the City of Gilroy, CA has bragging rights as the "Garlic Capital of the World." Many Bay Area residents are also familiar with the Gilroy Premium Outlet Mall--known as one of the best places to shop in the county.
What many residents of the Bay Area are not aware of is the Gilroy Business Trade Show, open to the public, and hosted for the past two decades by the Gilroy Chamber of Commerce. This year they celebrate their 20th anniversary as the premier event "for all things business in Gilroy" titled-- "Spotlight On Business."
The Gilroy trade show 2011 focuses attention on local Gilroy businesses and professionals who are members of the Gilroy Chamber of Commerce. Not only is the trade show a convenient opportunity for many business owners to meet each other, but also a great way for the public to see what's behind the scenes at many of Gilroy's businesses. In an interview yesterday, Co-Chair Cheryl Ellemberg of ABD Promotions had this to say about the trade show:
"This is the 20th annual trade show called "Spotlight On Business", meant to put the spotlight on your business. This is an opportunity to showcase your products and services in a casual and fun environment to hundreds and hundreds of attendees. The intention is to generate new leads, establish new accounts, launch a new product, increase sales and broaden your market share. Jason Salazar, Santa Barbara Bank and Trust and I are the co-chairs helping Sue Thurman [Gilroy Chamber of Commerce Business Relationship Manager] to encourage local businesses to interact with the public and to network with each other."
Why should the public attend the Gilroy trade show?
The trade show is an easy way to discover -- with a hands-on experience -- businesses in Gilroy. You have the opportunity to meet owners and professionals, and chat with them about their services, sample local wines, taste foods from Gilroy restaurants, and snag other goodies that businesses give away.
Trade shows also mean attendees often benefit from special discounts, coupons , raffle prizes, and other promotional giveaways that are only available to those who attend the event.
Why should other business owners and professionals attend the Gilroy trade show?
Where else will you have the opportunity to meet your competitors, find potential new clients, or discover service providers for your business all in one convenient location? You don't even have to have a booth at the show to attend.
Directions to the Gilroy trade show: conveniently located off the 101 freeway take the Leavsley exit (west), turn north on Murray (Best Western Forest Park Inn on the corner). Go to the end of Murray. The trade show is located in the two story building housing PDI Insurance.
