Gina Carano Vs. Cristiane Cyborg Santos Video: Pretty Brutal Proof

"Face of Women's MMA" Just Got a Quick Facelift; Will This Prompt New Gina Carano Drunk Pictures?

The question is: Have you seen the Carano vs. Cyborg video? By now the Gina Carano drunk pictures that have been circulating the internet for the past day or so should have been replaced by much newer Gina Carano drunk pictures -- or perhaps even a video -- after her title Strikeforce MMA bout with Cristiane "Cyborg" Santos. Not only might one find new Gina Carano drunk pictures on the internet, but the Carano vs. Cyborg fight video has become a popular topic as well. Why? Because Gina Carano vs. Cristiane "Cyborg" Santos was the most highly touted women's MMA fight ever.

Highly touted or not and regardless of Gina Carano's "face of women's MMA" status, Cristiane "Cyborg" Santos took only a couple of minutes to pummel Gina Carano's pretty self into submission and hand her her first MMA loss. Gina Carano had stepped into the ring with a 7-0 record, while Cyborg Santos entered with just as many wins, but with one loss. The fight video shows how Cristiane Cyborg Santos took a quick one-win edge in the overall records department.

In fact, according to Fanhouse, Cyborg Santos moved in with the merciless precision of her nickname, delivering machine-like blows to Gina Carano until the fight was called on a TKO (technical knockout). Cristiane Cyborg Santos somewhat easily became the first Strikeforce champion of the women's MMA with one second left to go in the first round, referee Josh Rosenthal making the decision to call the fight after the battering Gina Carano had received for 4:59 seconds.

The fight wasn't even close. Quick and lively. Exciting. But not close. Cristiane Cyborg Santos established herself as the best women's MMA fighter in the world with the victory. Now Strikeforce has the problem of finding contenders for Santos. After what she did to the woman who was considered the best MMA fighter, that side of the bill may not be the easiest to fill.

But as far as the Gina Carano drunk pictures are concerned, there just might be some new ones out there. Unlike the Playboy pictures that don't exist (and, according to Gina Carano, never will). No doubt Gina Carano needed something to dull the pain of the beating she took. Hopefully, wherever she was post-fight, Gina Carano did not have to relive that fight by seeing the Carano vs. Cyborg video. And the pictures that show the fight are even worse, capturing moments of brutal hits in freeze-frame clarity.

Not a pretty sight.

But Cristiane Cyborg Santos is sitting pretty, so to speak. The Carano vs. Cyborg match made her the undisputed women's MMA champ. The video simply punctuates it. Looking as fresh as when she stepped into the ring, Cristiane Cyborg Santos took the new 145-pound women's title with powerful style.

Yeah, Gina Carano just might have some new drunk pictures circulating on the internet by now...

Gina is definitely the most recognizable female fighter in the world but she wasn't the best one when Santos destroyed her. The consensus, best female fighter, pound-for-pound, is undefeated, submission queen Megumi "Mega" Fuji.

I wouldn't want to see either, thanks. Fighting does not appeal to me in the least and someone drunk getting her face plastered all over the internet? Ick.

The question is: Have you seen the Carano vs. Cyborg video? Yes, that is the question, because the writer of this article either didn't see it, doesn't know what he's talking about, or only saw the last 5 seconds. The announcers thought the round was over. If the TKO was so dominating, why did everyone assume the bell rang as the round ended? Carano was in control up until Cyborg gouged her eye. That was the difference maker. Like Evert vs. Navratilova and Rock vs. Drago, Gina will be back.

Santos though relentless has one gear and one methodology and that kind of fighter however overwhelming head on is easily frustrated by angles and sharp counter punching.

If Carano was able to establish her jab and front kick and give Santos angles she would have won a decision.

But again from whar I saw of her pre-fight conditioning I doubt she would have kept the pace to do that.

Carano will analyze her performance and the mistakes she obviously made in training and emerge a better fighter.

Just like Robinson-Ali-Leonard-Louis and a hundred other great pugilists.

Technically Carano is far Santo better and in physical and mental order at the time of a rematch will beat Santos.

On a side note a thorough testing process should be done on santos as women do not look like that without "Mothers Little Helper"

    Again thanks MR. DUMBASS!

Saul: You are in the simplest terms a dumbass. Santos hardly brutalized Carano.
Caranos face post fight was unremarkable I was there.
Carano struggled to burn weight and looked limpid at both the weigh in and as she waited in the dressing room before the fight.

Santos is an excellent fighter in her own right and took the evening but Carano was not pummeled senseless.

The ridiculous stoppage by the inane fool referee was grounds for a protest.

I was 4th row and it was clear that though powerful: the punches raining down on her were for the most part ineffective.

The biggest mistake Carano made was not immediately recovering to her feet.
Had she done that the fight would likely have continued.

If it had Carano would have probably been able to adjust her timing and movement to stick and move.

Santos though relentless has one gear and one methodology and that kind of fighter however overwhelming head on is easily frustrated by angles and sharp counter punching.
