Melanie D. Dameron
In years past, stress was just a normal part of living. Things just happen in life great and small. You learn to deal or cope with it and move forward. This was the accepted attitude. Stress in a general sense helps keep you sharp. It aids you in facing and meeting challenges. A little stress is actually good for the body.

However, today, stress has become a large problem that takes over and controls many lives. If you find yourself often feeling nervous or overwhelmed, your nervous system is out of balance. It is important to learn your stress levels. Stress is very dangerous because it creeps up on you. You get use to it. It becomes familiar to you. Then, it becomes normal. The unnoticed affects take a heavy toll. The body becomes unable to distinguish between what is good and bad stress. It cannot tell what is a real threat or psychological threat, just perceived.

A simple little root, ginger, can be of great benefit in relieving every day stress. It can be found at most grocery stores and is known to have an immense significance in relieving stress. Its powerful healing qualities are well respected in Asian cultures. Among other things, ginger is a mood enhancer. The Cineole present in ginger helps provide stress relief. This pungent tasty spice can be prepared for a daily tonic or tea to reverse the damage caused by stress.
