Giovanni's Restaurant in Lawton, OK

Italian Dining at Its Finest

When looking for a great Italian meal in Lawton, OK, you will want to go to Giovanni's.

Giovanni's first location was in Duncan, OK, and luckily for Lawtonians a second location was opened here in February.

Upon entering the restaurant you will be taken in by the attractive décor. It is painted in Italian-like colors of burgundy and green with white accents. The tables are topped with crisp white linens and have candles on them. It immediately puts you in the mood for a fine Italian meal.

I have eaten at Giovanni's several times and never once has the service been bad. The customer is always cordially greeted, seated and the server comes immediately to take your drink order. Once your order is placed, your server will bring you a basket of hot, fresh bread with butter.

The menu at Giovanni's is filled with gastronomical delights. The Tortellini Soup is a fantastic appetizer that you will want to start your meal with. They also offer several salads. A green salad comes with your meal.

They have a wide variety of entrees, which include veal, chicken, fish, and a plethora of pastas. The Tortellini Bolognese is one example of their excellent selection of pasta dishes. It features cheese filled tortellini in a meat, marinara, and cream sauce.

The Veal Parmesan is exquisitely made. The breading is not too thick and it is served with spaghetti and marinara sauce. Another great dish is the Stuffed Shells. They are stuffed with a tasty blend of ricotta and spices and smothered in a creamy alfredo sauce.

Don't overlook the dessert menu. It has some awesome treats such as cheesecake and tiramisu. They are the perfect ending to a great meal.

The entrees are reasonably priced and start at around $8. Most meals are between $8 and $15. Desserts are priced between $5 and $7.

The restaurant is currently serving beer and other malt beverages. Wine will be added to the drink menu soon.

The front dining room at Giovanni's has beautiful French doors, which can be closed to allow the room to be used for private parties.

A meal at Giovanni's is truly an enjoyable experience. The atmosphere is quiet and elegant without being too fancy. You will want to come back often to enjoy the fine fare they offer.

The restaurant is centrally located at 2502 NW Cache Road in Lawton. There is a second location at 2535 N. Highway 81 in Duncan, OK approximately 25 miles from Lawton.

Ate at Giovanni's last night. Atmosphere is nice. Service would have been more appropriate for a flying J. Servers were bickering, had dirty fingernails, reached across my face, etc. The food was fine, even good, but VERY VERY mild. Tip- don't pay the extra dollar to upgrade to a caeser salad. It is lettuce, croutons and a VERY mild sauce. Not worth it.

Sounds great! Just one problem, Italian food always fives me heart burn. I think it's the acidity in the tommato sauce.

I think the Giovanni's in Duncan is located inside the Days Inn.

Wait a minute-one more post-an Italian restaurant without wine-what are they thinking. Sounds really nice up to that point. How do they spread the linen and not serve the wine? You'll forgive me, I used to run restaurants. If I'm ever back in Lawton, hopefully they'll get that rectified right away. That's kind of absurd. maybe it's a seperate license or something, but I've never heard of such a thing. good written review
