Girl Child
I have two mothers
Not a stepmom and my real mom
I have a second mom
Who's always been there for me
And I love her
She's one of the strongest women I've ever met
She's loves deeply and lost much
Lost someone so great
But she still goes on, to tell the story
To be a mother for all those when they need one the most
Not too many kids are lucky enough to have a mom
And even less are lucky enough to have two wonderful mothers
As she calls me her "girl child"
When she holds my face in her hands
Gives me a warm hug and a smile
