Girl Throwing Puppies in a River Video Creates Outrage and Hatred

I typically check the hot searches from Google Trends a few times per day, either to get caught up on the news or to find a timely topic for an article. Today's search brought me to an unnerving and disgusting act, what has quickly became known as the "girl throwing puppies in a river video".

I've seen a lot of twisted, crazy or just downright odd videos and websites on the Internet before, but the girl throwing puppies in a river video is right at the top of the list. While I'm more prone to enjoy naked PETA protests than I would be to stop eating steak and chili, I'm certainly not one for animal cruelty, or violence to animals of any kind.

I grew up with a golden retriever puppy from the age of 3, and losing her simply to old age and poor health was devastating. Just weeks ago, my girlfriend Liz and I brought home an 8 week old beagle puppy named Mosley (that's me and him in my profile picture), who we are head over in heels in love with, and who quickly became the toast of the entire town.

During a quick walk around the block you'd see so much joy created from everyone else seeing a tiny, cute pup, and it's easy to imagine that everyone on the planet is an animal lover. Then something like this pops up and it absolutely blows your mind. This very morning, at a vet appointment for our new pooch, we were sad just to hear him yelping and see him squirming as he got his claws cut for the first time. Then a video appears with a girl throwing puppies in a river, and it's just about the sickest thing that you could imagine.

An apparent teenage girl wearing a red hooded sweatshirt picks up six, small, black, newborn puppies from a bucket and tosses them one by one, squealing, into a rapidly moving river. In the background, you can hear a voice, presumably of the individual holding the video recorder, screaming "yay!"

A Facebook Group has already been formed, called, "Find the Girl Who Threw Puppies in River", and has several thousand members in a few short hours, as word continues to spread. Of course, the sentiments shared on the Wall of the group are about as sick as the video itself, with various people hurling death threats and insults of all kind.

Maybe there's some way that this is a prank or a fake video, and somebody is going to admit to creating this sick sham. More likely though, an even sicker individual actually did this, recorded it, and posted it to the Internet. Don't watch the girls throwing puppies into a river video unless you're sure you are ready to see it and the terrible acts that it shows.
