In celebrity news today, a bench warrant has been issued for "Girl Gone Wild" creator Joe Francis; a tribute concert "50 Winters Later" to honor Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens and J.P. Richardson "The Big Bopper"; Barack Obama comments on Jessica Simpson's weight issue during the Super Bowl pre-show interview with Matt Lauer.

"Girls Gone Wild" creator Joe Francis is in some trouble with the IRS for tax evasion. The LA times has reported that a bench warrant has been issued for Joe Francis after he did not show up to court. It seems Joe reported over $20 million in business expenses that don't appear to be legitimate. Shame on you Joe -- if true.

Trying to rip off the IRS is bad. On a bright note, maybe Joe can turn this into a money making project if he ever goes to prison by making "Prisoners Go Wild for a Hot White Boy."

Joe Francis has recently been rumored to be dating Kim Zolciak, the Real Housewives of Atlanta star.

Buddy Holly, Ricky Valens and the J.P. Richardson ("The Big Bopper") will be honored tonight at the "50 Winters Later" commemorative concert at The Surf Ballroom in Clearlake, Iowa. Fans who attend the 50 winters later tribute event will have a chance to meet Maria Elena Holly, Buddy's widow, members of Ricky Valens family and J.P. Richardson (Big Bopper Jr.) Tickets have been sold out for the 7:00 p.m. concert.

The plane, on February 3rd 1959 in Clearlake, Iowa, carrying Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens and J.P. "Big Bopper" Richardson crashed, killing the musicians. Buddy Holly has been called "the single most influential creative force in early rock and roll" by critic Bruce Eder. Fans have built a monument to Buddy Holly, Richie Valens and J.P. Richardson in Clearlake, Iowa, at the site of the plane crash. Many American remember the day of the plane crash as "The day the music died," made famous in the Don McClean song "American Pie."

President Barack Obama made a remark about Jessica Simpson during his pre Super Bowl interview with Matt Lauer. Obama was talking with Matt Lauer about how he got cut out of the US weekly magazine and replaced by Jessica Simpson weight gain news. Matt Lauer said holding the US magazine up, "You got replaced by Jessica Simpson!" Obama reading the magazine cover remarked, "Who's in a weight battle, apparently. Oh well."

I saw the Lauer/Obama interview and thought that it was funny that two of Americas most straight-laced men made a comment about the Jessica Simpson photo which claims she's having a battle with her weight! It seemed like a genuine moment that any other Americans could be having-not bad mouthing Simpson but how ridiculous things can be. I thought it was kind of nice.
