Girls Gone Wild: Eliot Spitzer Scandal Style?

Aida Ekberg
"Girls Gone Wild" founder Joe Francis got out of prison at just the right time to make major money off a discovery in the archives of his "Girls Gone Wild" video library, according to WIVB.com: Seven full-length tapes of none other than Ashley Alexander Dupre ("Kristen"), who celebrated her 18th birthday in 2003 by spending a week on the "Girls Gone Wild" bus filming nude, girl-on-girl videos.

Dupre is already the most famous prostitute in the country, thanks to her tryst with New York Governor Eliot Spitzer.

Francis had made Dupre a $1 million offer to host a "Girls Gone Wild" spring break tour and pose for his magazine when he was asked about her appearance in some of his videos by a news reporter. He has now withdrawn the offer since this footage was discovered, meaning Ms. Dupre will get nada for her "performance".

So for the gals out there planning to make an appearance in "Girls Gone Wild" or posing nude, you may want to think twice. If you want to make an appearance in the buff, here are five things you need to consider:

Is it worth getting nothing but a free T-shirt?

A girl gets drunk. She sees the "Girls Gone Wild" bus. It suddenly seems like an awesome idea to get naked and strut her stuff in front of the camera, and that T-shirt or hat just seems like a great prize to prove that she did it. Unfortunately, friends and family get wind of it later on. Guys start seeing her as easy. She starts to regret having ever done it, and feels that she'll never live it down. This is a likely scenario for an average girl appearing in a "Girls Gone Wild" video. It's doubtful Dupre experienced this, considering what she ended up doing for a living, but sorority girls, beware.

What if you do become famous?

If you're planning on a career in showbiz, you may not ever be taken seriously if you pose nude or appear in a raunchy video. You will be typecast in films; it will be extremely difficult to get any respectable roles; and you would probably just end up being a joke in the music industry. So if you ever want to be known for your talent, don't take it off.

Who would hire you?

If you're naked bod is plastered in he pages of magazines or captured forever on film, you may find life difficult in the workplace. How many people will recognize you? How will it make them treat you? What kind of career can you have? You need to really consider what you want to do with your future before doing something that will change the way the world perceives you.

Who would date you?

If men recognize you from your nude appearance, you're going to have a very hard time ever finding a man who won't just want to use you or who won't be uncomfortable with it. Men don't like the thought of millions of other men seeing their woman naked, so it could be difficult to be in a serious, stable relationship.

Why do you want to pose nude?

If you want to pose nude as a way of celebrating your body, consider doing an artistic, tasteful shoot. There are many photographers who take nude photographs that you can actually feel proud of. You could also consider posing for a nude painting. Many women want to pose nude when they are younger because they are proud of their bodies and know that they won't always be so beautiful. Going with an artistic picture or painting is a much better choice than appearing as nothing more than a sex object.

Posing nude is a decision that could change your life. Dupre did it (and then some), and look what she ended up doing for a living. Some women are fine with a life in the sex industry, but if you're not one of them, you need to really think about the consequences of posing nude. You may end up stuck selling sex whether you want to or not.
