Girls Night in Cosmopolitan Cocktail Recipe

Simple Cosmopolitan Cocktail Recipe

Michelle Moore-Barrett
I am not much for drinking and I do it very rarely. With any drink I make, I like to be creative and add a little more to it and a little less alcohol. I am a mother so it's very important for me to have something that does not knock me off my chair after one drink. I like my cosmos like all my drinks, flavorful. Now and again I like to enjoy a great cosmopolitan and this recipe is one that I make at home on special occasions.

Girls Night In Cosmopolitan
1/4 oz Orange Juice
1/2 oz Lemonade
1 oz Hawaiian Punch
1 oz Cranberry Juice
1 oz Vodka

Shake all ingredients well with ice and then strain into a chilled martini glass.

Optional
Take a lime peel or an orange peel and run it along the rim of the glass and then use it for garnish. I do like to garnish mine with an orange peel or a lime peel but it's not necessary.

Also, if you want a little more alcohol you can remove the Hawaiian Punch or Cranberry Juice and make it 2 oz of Vodka.

In place of the Lemonade you can also use Lime Juice or Pink Lemonade. Both are very good, I prefer the Lemonade it gives a hint of a sweet and tart taste.
