In Illinois, Kevin Artl was appointed as Executive Director for that state's campaign team. In addition, Jayme Siemer was appointed as the Illinois Political Director. The two will work together to ensure that the Illinois vote strongly supports Giuliani's campaign for the Presidency. Mr. Artl previously served as the Political Director at the House Republican Organization in Illinois. Ms. Siemer has previously worked on other political campaigns and prior to joining the Giuliani campaign, served as the Illinois Republican Party's Director of Field Operations. Several field staff were also announced for Illinois, including Andrew Proctor and Nick McNeely. Proctor and McNeely have both worked on a variety of campaigns throughout the past several political cycles.
In New Hampshire, Jeff Grappone was appointed by the Giuliani campaign as that state's Communications Director. Grappone served formerly as Press Secretary to U.S. Senator John Sununu, since 2005. Prior to his work with Senator Sununu, Grappone leant his communication skills to U.S. Representative Charlie Bass beginning in 2003. He is a New Hampshire native and graduate of Georgetown University and has also worked for the Concord Monitor as a reporter. Grappone also worked on the New Hampshire campaign in 2004 to reelect President George W. Bush.
In Florida, the Giuliani campaign appointed Kathryn Staczek as the director of Field Operations. The campaign also announced the appointment of six field representatives that will lend their support to local community organizations seeking to elect Giuliani to the Presidency. Those field representatives include W. Kyle Rouse in Northeast Florida, Jeremy Collins in Central Florida, Heather Weintrobe in West Florida, Leah Chambliss in Southeast Florida, Daphnie Ricobene in Southwest Florida and J. C. Flores in the Miami-Dade area. Kathryn Staczek has extensive experience in managing field and media operations in political campaigns. This experience includes campaigns in both Florida and Washington, D.C. as well as Arnold Schwarzenegger's gubernatorial campaign in California. Most members of the field staff have prior political experience working either on the successful Florida gubernatorial campaign for Charlie Crist or the successful re-election of Bush and Cheney in 2004.
With more than fifteen months remaining until Election '08, the Giuliani campaign continues to make strategic decisions to have the best human resources in place for a successful election cycle.
