Use Free Crochet and Knitting Patterns for Hats, Scarves and Gloves

Every year people need scarves, hats and gloves for the winter. You can use free crochet and knitting patterns to give these items as gifts to family, friends and the less fortunate.

Using free crochet and knitting patterns for scarves hats and gloves can help you give gifts to people you know without breaking your budget for the Christmas season. The best thing about making scarves, hats, and gloves, you can make them in the colors the gift receivers like; especially if they are friends and family.

One other thing you may want to consider is that for the price of the largest skein of yarn, you could make a complete set for the price of that yarn. The simplest set of gloves, a stocking cap and a scarf long enough to wrapped around the neck will be a great set for gift giving.

If you are wanting to give to those less fortunate than yourself, like the homeless, they will more than appreciate your homemade gloves, scarves, and hats in the winter. Many of these people won't care what color they are because any of these items can help them stay warmer while living on the streets.

If you are wanting to make these for the homeless and aren't sure how to go about making sure the homeless are getting them, take them down to your local homeless shelter or place that feed the homeless. They can help you pass them out there or hand them out when people are coming in for beds and food for the day.

If you know kids who may not have hats, scarves, and gloves for the winter because they are in need, these items will be a welcome gift for Christmas. Many underprivileged kids are that way because their parents have lost their jobs or working minimum wage jobs to keep the bills paid and families fed. It's not that the parents don't care if their kids stay warm, it just may be they have ran out of money after bills, food and other needed clothes, the scarves, hats and gloves couldn't be bought because the money ran out for them. I suspect their parents will be just as grateful as the kids will be for these needed items.

No matter which way you decide to go with the free crochet patterns for scarves, gloves, and hats, they are the easiest and cheapest gifts anyone can give on a budget. You can make them throughout the year when you have a few dollars left over.

One of the local yarn shops in my town, gives leftover yard away to people willing to make hats, scarves, etc. for the needy.

I work with a assisted living facility and a group of ladies who do this.

What a great idea! You could even use all the bits of leftover skeins to make a really colorful hat or scarf.
