Give into the Chocolate

Donna Cavanagh
You work so hard to do what's right
In thought, word and deed
But sometimes a little break from the fight
Some decadence is what you need

A little temptation to help you lose
That feeling of going under
Gooey chocolate may be the perfect ruse
To give you back your sense of joy and wonder

A little diversion becomes a treasure
It can make such a difference in your life
The benefits you cannot measure
A small treat can eliminate strife

So eat that candy in the dish
And be captivated by the flavor
By satisfying that one tiny wish
You have a new lease on life to savor
