Give Your Mother a Precious Gift for Mother's Day -- Write Her a Letter!
Write Your Mother a Letter of Gratitude, Appreciation and Memories for Mother's Day
In this day and age, few people write letters. Letters are valuable. People have saved letters from loved ones for centuries. For many years letters were a primary way to communicate with someone who was at a distance. Letters have been treasured and are still considered a treasure.
Some people say "I can't write". But you really don't have to be a writer. You only need to express your feeling honestly. This pure expression makes you the very best kind of writer, a writer from the heart. Your mother will not be checking your grammar or your spelling. She will simply be absorbing what you have to share with her.
Some people say "I don't know what to say". But you really do know what to say. Here are some questions to think about to get you started. Answering these questions will help prompt your letter, and will give you some good ideas to write your letter.
What is the most important thing your Mother taught you?
How does your Mother inspire you?
What do you appreciate about your Mother?
How has your Mother shown you courage?
What do you wish you had listened to your Mother about?
What do you want to thank your Mother for?
What is your favorite memory about your Mother?
Write a letter that shows your Mother how you appreciate her, how grateful you are to have her in your life and share some of your favorite memories with her. Once you have written your letter out on notebook paper then transfer it to nice stationary. Or you can print it out on your computer and then sign it if your hand writing is hard to read. While some people may think a letter from a computer is a bit impersonal - if your Mother has trouble reading smaller letters, giving her letters that are larger and easier to read is actually giving her a much better gift that she will be sure to appreciate.
This is a gift that your Mother will be sure to remember and enjoy for many years to come. She will save and treasure your letter. She will read and re-read your letter over the years, remembering what you have said to her. It is a lovely gift that is priceless in many ways because it truly comes from the heart.
