Give Them All You Have- Father's Day Poems

A Tribute Through Father's Day Poems

S. A. Knight
Your Father gave you all he had
You wonder what the secret is
He wonders did I do it right?
You have what you need to make it through
You made your way along life's path
You're thankful for that gift, that help
It brought you here today
You wonder what the secret is
Dad gave you all he had
I couldn't change it anyway
The tears, the laughter, all fade away
Through Father's day poems I want to say
Just let him know I made my way

Your Father gave you all he had
It seems like yesterday
Your boys are born
You watch them play
You watch them grow
You wonder what the secret is
Dad gave you all he had
I couldn't change it anyway
The tears, the laughter, all fade away
Through Father's day poems I want to say
Just let him know I made my way

Your Father gave you all he had
The memories all become so sweet
You wonder did I do it right?
Then one phone call --and to your delight
You know you did your best
The boys are grown and doing well
They learned enough
You wonder what the secret is
Dad gave you all he had
I couldn't change it anyway
The tears, the laughter, all fade away
Through Father's day poems I want to say
Just let him know I made my way

Your Father gave you all he had
It doesn't matter what you think
You have what you need to make it through
You wonder what the secret is
Dad gave you all he had
I couldn't change it anyway
The tears, the laughter, all fade away
Through Father's day poems I want to say
Just let him know I made my way

Your Father gave you all he had
So now the grandchildren give you joy
You think
I have to get it right
It doesn't matter anyway
You wonder what the secret is
Dad gave you all he had
I couldn't change it anyway
The tears, the laughter, all fade away
Through Father's day poems I want to say
Just let him know I made my way

Your Father gave you all he had
You watch them play
You watch them grow
You wonder what the secret is
Dad gave you all he had
I couldn't change it anyway
The tears, the laughter, all fade away
Through Father's day poems I want to say
Just let him know I made my way

Your Father gave you all he had
Don't worry grandchildren
You'll make your way
You wonder what the secret is
Dad gave you all he had
I couldn't change it anyway
The tears, the laughter, all fade away
Through Father's day poems I want to say
Just let him know I made my way

Your Father gave you all he had
So here I am on this Father's day
Many years have passed
Grandchildren laugh and play
I smile
I know the secret now
Just give them all you have
Thanks Dad
I couldn't change it anyway
The tears, the laughter, stay today
Through Father's day poems I want to say
Just let him know I made my way
