Step One- Renew Your Skin with a Homemade Scrub $2.00
Go to your local organic food store and pick up a bag of sea salt. Many health food stores allow you to purchase by the pound. The smaller the salt granules, the less abrasive your scrub will be. The larger the granules, the more intense your scrub will be. Approximate Cost: $1.00. Then go to your local discount store and pick up a generic bottle of baby oil.
In a mixing bowl, mix the baby oil with a generous amount of salt. The consistently should be fairly thick. When you are done mixing, you are ready to scrub! Scrub your entire body in the shower with the mix, focusing on the dry parts of your body. This will give your skin the makeover it needs.
Step Two- Pamper Your Face with a Soothing Homemade Exfoliating Scrub $2.00
Purchase a small container of oatmeal. Approximate Cost $2.00. Put the oatmeal in a bowl and add warm water. This should form a paste. Add more or less water to adjust the consistency. Gently rub in a circular motion avoiding the eye area. Let it stay on for 20 minutes. Rinse off with warm water. Add a splash of cool water when you are done. This will help exfoliate and smooth your skin.
Step Three- Design Your Nails with Professional-Looking Nail Art $4.00
You will need to pick up a bottle of acrylic paint, toothpicks, and a nail polish color. Approximate Cost $4.00. Paint your nails and allow them to dry completely. Carefully paint designs on your nails using the acrylic paint and toothpicks. You can do polka-dots, stripes, zebra stripes, checkered, hearts, or whatever you think you can design.
Step Four- Moisturize Your Skin $2.00
Purchase a small generic brand container of petroleum jelly. Approximate Cost $2.00. After you scrub your body with your homemade scrub, apply the jelly to your entire body. Focus on your hands, feet, knees and elbows. Although it may feel a little greasy, your skin will love the moisture. You can always wipe any excess of with a soft cloth.
Step Five- Pamper Your Tired Hair $200
Go to your local beauty supply and purchase a deep conditioning packet. Approximate Cost $2.00. Wash your hair and towel dry. Apply the deep conditioner to your entire hair, focusing on the ends. Leave on your hair for approximately 10 -20 minutes. You can intensify the treatment by wrapping plastic wrap around your hair. This seals the moisture in your hair. Rinse thoroughly.
With a little creativity , you can give yourself a fantastic and cheap makeover!
