Glacau's Raspberry Fruit Water is Not Something that Tastes Like Water or Fruit

If you like cough syrup, you will love Glacéau's Raspberry Fruit Water. If, however, you are like the majority of the human race, and you have to chase your cough syrup with a large dose of water to get the taste out of your mouth, you may want to avoid Glacéau's raspberry fruit water like the plague. It has a retail price of around $1.39 and can be found at chain grocery stores, and specialty food stores like organic food giant Whole Foods. It is appealing as it only offers up 20 calories per serving, with the entire bottle being only 50 calories, as compared to 125 calories for a bottle of any variety of Glacéau's Vitamin Water.

I bought this water because I want to get my full supply of water in during the day, but I get bored with plain, tasteless water from time to time. I have also had great experiences with other Glacéau products. I had tried Glacéau's vitamin waters, and they were not bad, but I thought it was a few too many calories for me to consume. I have also tried Glacéau's Smart Water and absolutely love it. With this track record in mind, I eagerly thought I would try the fruit water as well. I fully expected it to taste almost as good as Glacéau's Vitamin Water, only with fewer calories. At twenty calories per serving instead of the fifty per serving in the vitamin water, it seemed a good way to skimp on those liquid calories that have a tendency to add up during the day.

Glacéau's fruit water just, plain and simply, does not taste very good. Other flavors of Glacéau's fruit water, such as the lime flavor, are better than the raspberry, but they are still not quite tasty. The lime version of Glacéau's fruit water was the first flavor that I tried in the product line. I was not over the moon for it, but I had also bought it in raspberry on the same day and thought that it might actually taste better than the lime as raspberry items tend to have a more robust flavor to them. I could not have been further from the truth. In fact, the Glacéau Raspberry Fruit Water tasted so much like cough syrup that I was unable to finish the bottle. I tried my best as it is packed with electrolytes like all of the Glacéau products, but the taste was too horrible for the electrolyte benefits to be worth the pain.

If you are looking for an alternative to plain water, Glacéau's Vitamin water is a better option. It tastes better, and with electrolytes, as well as Vitamins C, B3, B5, B6, B12 and E, it is also good for you. Actually it is better for you vitamin wise than the fruit water. It is a low-calorie drink compared with sodas and other drinks with sugar. In my opinion, the fruit water is not worth the reduction in calories at the expense of the taste. This is a perfect example of something that is diet related with an obvious diet taste.
