The Glacier View RV Park and Cabin Rentals has to be the most well maintained and welcoming of any campground we stopped in on our trip to Alaska from Tennessee. To say that we were impressed was an understatement.
Like most of the places where we stopped we arrived at the Glacier View RV Park very late at night. We were concerned that no attendant would be on duty. We need not have worried. The park is owned by Kent and Rose.
Rose was on duty that night. She went out of her way to make us feel welcome and even hunted down an adapter for the electricity. Even though it was late she let us use both the immaculate laundromat and shower room. These are both in the main building where you check in. We were careful to be quiet and not bother the other guests.
The shower was private, included in the stay and well maintained. While you are showering Solitudes Nature music is playing in the background. This helps you relax. The shower was also spotless. My daughter showered in the morning and said that it was spotless when she went in. This impressed me.
Our tent site at Glacier View RV Park and Cabin Rentals was large enough for our tent and car. Plus we had ample space to walk around. There was a camp fire ring and a picnic table.
Glacier View RV Park and Cabin Rentals also had another feature that I liked. This is a dishwashing room with a large stainless steel kitchen sink. This is where the microwave is located. This helps make it easy if you have something that just needs to be warmed. Not every campground or RV Park has these features. We know it for a fact because we compared it to other places where we stayed on this trip.
Other amenities at Glacier View RV Park and Cabin Rentals include a private handicapped shower, water features, a totem pole and tee pee, tent sites, pull-through sites and hook-ups. It is AAA approved and you can bring your pet for a small upcharge.
In our tent, we were able to get a wireless signal. Even though it was slow it worked well enough to check email.
The scenery at Glacier View RV Park and Cabin Rentals is gorgeous. The Hudson Bay glacier is in the front of the park. When you wake up in the morning it is the first thing that you see. What a way to begin your day!

Nicely Written :)
Sounds wonderful to stay, thanks for sharing!
My goodness, this had to be the trip of a lifetime you. I like that dishwashing room . When we cabin camp, there is no plumbing in the cabins, and not all the bathrooms have stationary tubs to wash dishes in, just sinks, which make it awkward. We always end up taking a dishpan with us.
Great review, thank you for the information!
Sounds like the perfect place to stay! Thanks Gayle.
