Glade Sense & Spray: The Newest in Air Fresheners

R. M. Dubuc
Glade Sense & Spray, a new automatic air freshener from the Glade line of air freshening products, was a welcome addition to my home. As part of a BzzAgent campaign, I was able to receive a Glade Sense & Spray to try.

About Glade Sense & Spray Works

Air fresheners come in a wide range of products. Scented candles, plug-in scented oil warmers, aerosol sprays, and a number of other air freshening products can be found for freshening a room, covering odors, and providing at-home aromatherapy. Glade Sense & Spray goes one step further and provides a motion detected automatic air freshening spray.

Glade Sense & Spray functions on two AA batteries and has a built in motion detector which will prompt a burst of air freshening spray. It also has a manual button on the front for when an extra spray is desired. The basic starter kit comes with a Glade Sense & Spray, which has a removable scent bottle. The Glade Sense & Spray scent bottles can be replaced with one of the four scented refills available.

There are currently four Glade Sense & Spray scents available for purchase with the starter kit; Clean Linen, Powder Fresh, Apple Cinnamon, and Country Garden. The starter kit retails for approximately $7.99.

My Experience

I am a fan of all things scented for the home and an expert in detecting scented products that provide satisfactory scent. I was initially curious about whether Glade Sense & Spray would provide enough pleasant scent to last for more than a few minutes after the motion detected burst of spray. I was happily surprised to find that the scent was both potent and lasting. I tried the Glade Sense & Spray, Clean Linen scent, in my kitchen. It did well to add scent to the room and cover any cooking smells.

Ideally, I would choose the Glade Sense & Spray in Clean Linen for a bedroom or bathroom. There were a few surprises when someone walked by the Glade Sense & Spray sitting on the counter. It bursts pretty strongly out of the top when it detects motion after a half hour has passed.

One of the added benefits of the Glade Sense & Spray air freshener is the ability to conserve scent, and spray only when motion is detected or prompted manually.

Recommendation

Since this was an early BzzAgent campaign for Glade Sense & Spray, I was one of the first to try this new air freshening product. I recommend the Glade Sense & Spray for anyone who likes a fresh and fairly potent scent in the home. The strength of scent was comparable to a Yankee Candle but it took much less time to achieve the full level of scent.

The Glade Sense & Spray would be a good choice for the bathroom or bedroom, areas where less traffic would exist to trigger the motion detector for scent.

I am a Bzz agent and got in on this same campaign, and also wrote a review here on AC. It seems we came to the same conclusion about it being a good product for the bathroom :) The loud noise from the spray makes it a bit too noticeable for higher traffic areas (IMHO)

I like this product, but I like the new glade fragrance collection candles better. Just my opinion. Excellent review.

I haven't heard about this, so I'll have to give it a try. I like glade products and use their oil candles all the time.
