As a smoker and a pet parent it is always important to me to keep some sort of aerosol spray in my home to keep my space smelling fresh and inviting. I know that some people don't enjoy the smell of cigarette smoke or pet odors.
Recently I purchased two different brands in different scents and decided to put them to the test. Not only was I interested in finding the best smelling product but also which one lasts the longest.
Air Wick Sparkling Citrus aerosol air freshener comes in an 8 fluid ounce canister. I paid $1 for this product at Family Dollar. I was impressed with the fragrance. I think it has a pleasant and not too powerful scent. Some air freshening products can be, in my opinion, too strong. To describe the fragrance it is like a mixture of grapefruit, lime and orange. Just a spritz goes a long way to making your home feel fresh and inviting. The canister of Air Wick Sparkling Citrus is also long lasting, which is an added bonus on top of the bargain price.
When I said I put these two air fresheners to the test, I should have explained that when I sprayed one, I sprayed the other brand also, just in a different room of my house.
With the Glade French Vanilla aerosol air freshener product, I paid $1.25 for this brand at Family Dollar. I did not mind paying a little more for the Glade brand because Glade is a brand I know and trust. I have been using Glade air freshening products for many years.
Glade French Vanilla comes in an 9 ounce canister. The packaging is a little prettier for this product. He scent of French Vanilla did not please me as much as the Sparkling Citrus. I cannot offer any explanation for why I prefer one to the other. Normally I like the fragrance of Vanilla, and I would go as far as to say that Vanilla is one of my favorite scents. In my opinion, Glade French Vanilla has a pipe tobacco type scent to it. It is not strong or over powering, but the hint of pipe tobacco was there, undeniably.
Despite the canister of Glade French Vanilla containing a full ounce more product, this air freshener was depleted 5 days sooner than Air Wick Sparkling Citrus. I sprayed both equal amounts of time for equal amounts of time per spray.
To sum it up, in my opinion and from my test, I discovered that Air Wick aerosol air fresheners seem to be the better bargain. They are less expensive, and they last longer than Glade air fresheners despite the package being smaller. I would recommend either brand to anyone, there are numerous fragrances that are sure to please even the pickiest person.
