Glee Cast Members and Their Pets

Glee, the Fox network hit, has a show full of talented actors and actresses. But, this show also has several cast members who are proud to say they have pets. This would include Jane Lynch, who is known as Coach Sue Sylvester; Lea Michele, who is known as Rachel Berry; Jenna Ushkowitz, who is known on the show as Tina Cohen-Chang; Heather Morris, who is known on the show as Brittany Pierce; and Harry Shum, Jr., who is Mike Chang on the show. Even though these stars are busy with their careers and their hit show, Glee, they make time to enjoy their fur babies. Some of them even take time to help protect other animals by becoming involved in such organizations as PETA and causes such as shutting down puppy mills.

Coach Sue Sylvester or Jane Lynch, as she is know away from the show, shares her life with two dogs and two cats. She has a Lhasa Apso named Olivia, a Wheaten Terrier named Georgie, a Gray Tabby named Geta and a Red Tabby named Riley.

Rachel Berry, or Lea Michele, has two cats that she rescued from the Paramount Studio's lot. She named these two cats Claudia and Sheila.

Tina Cohen-Chang, or Jenna Ushkowitz, is another pet lover from the cast of Glee. This actress has a Puggle named Riley.

Brittany Pierce, or Heather Morris, joins Lea Michele by taking home one of the kittens that were rescued from the lot at Paramount Studio. Heather named her kitten Zack.

Mike Chang, or Harry Shum, Jr., is also one of the cast of Glee who has rescued an animal while working on the set of Glee. Lea Michele rescued a dog while the show was on location in Long Beach, California. Harry soon became the proud owner of that dog, who was proudly named Charlie.

These five actors are just a handful of the many that are on the hit series Glee. But the fact that they are all pet owners makes them part of an even smaller group of caring people who have the ability to do good for many more pets. Fortunately that is just what several of them are doing. They do not have a problem with speaking out against animal abuse situations such as puppy mills. This is a positive situation for all involved, especially the animals who may be saved because of their commitment to the cause
