"Glee" Episode 2.6 Recap: "Never Been Kissed"

The latest episode of "Glee" was called "Never Been Kissed," and it aired on Tuesday, Nov. 9 on Fox.

The episode began with the Glee club splitting up into two teams to do a competition (girls and boys), with Kurt forced to participate with the guys against his will. Meanwhile he also had to deal with a bully in the school named Dave. In order to shake things up a bit in the competition, and help challenge Kurt at the same time, Mr. Shuester had the guys sing a song traditionally sung by a female and the boys do the opposite.

Kurt goes to a rival school to check out their Glee club, and comes across a guy that catches his eye right away. His name is Blaine (played by Darren Criss) and it seems that he is smitten right away, but it turns out he is a member of their Glee club as well. When the team figures out why Kurt is there, they are extremely nice to him rather than being mean, and Blaine offers some advice to Kurt about not becoming the victim to his bully.

When Kurt stood up to Dave, it turned out differently than he thought it would, as Dave kissed him in the football locker room. It turned out to be the first time Kurt had ever been kissed, upsetting him, but helping him become closer with Blaine at the same time. It didn't stop Dave from still attacking Kurt in public, repeatedly slamming him into lockers any chance he got.

In another story arc for the episode, the topic of sex came up, with many of the kids trying to find an alternative to think about in order to not want to have sex. The idea came from Finn, who felt he had to think of something else while making out with Rachel. His choice was hitting a mailman with his car, and when he told Sam about this idea, he started using it while making out with Quinn. His idea was to think of the new football coach.

The problem was that other Glee club members started using the same trick of thinking about "Beast," until it got to the point that everyone knew about it. It becomes worse when she finds out what is going on. When she learned about it, she quit. The boys felt bad though, and convinced her to come back through their Glee club song.

Puck finally came back to the show, and he revealed to Artie that under his agreement to get out community service, he was required to help out Artie now. It was Puck's idea though, and was an obvious attempt to skirt the rules. Artie started liking it though, as soon as he realized the power that Puck had in the halls, some of it gained through fear.

Puck crossed the line when he tried to dine-and-dash though, and got mad when Artie wouldn't do it. It turned out though, that Puck was putting on an act to seem tough, and that he had been scared straight while getting stuck in juvenile hall. By the end of the episode the two had become friends, finally understanding where each other was coming from.

The next new episode of "Glee" airs on Tuesday, Nov. 16 when Gwyneth Paltrow guest stars as a new substitute teacher.
