Glee National Concert Dates Released for 2010 Summer Performance Tour

A Glee concert tour for May had its schedule released today by Fox. The Glee national concert tour will take place in four cities around the country in May, and it should provide fans of the show an ample opportunity to go and enjoy their music live on stage. It's interesting that Fox has decided to do this with their show, but it could end up being a really good idea in order to keep the show in people's minds during the off-season.

There are seven dates on the Glee concert tour schedule, and while ticket prices have not yet been revealed, this could turn out to be as big of a draw as their American Idol live summer tours.

The tickets for the Glee concert tour will start going on sale March 12th for the Phoenix dates and on March 13th for the rest of the stops. The tour will take the actors and actresses through Phoenix, Los Angeles, Chicago, and then finally Radio City Music Hall in New York City. A lot of information has already been released about the tour as well, including who will be performing in the music numbers, and what songs are going to highlight the show.

It seems they are really going for transparency here, and that could lead to quite a few tickets being sold. It sounds like an intriguing premise to put the actors and actresses up on the stage, and it could become a very hot ticket as the first season of Glee winds down with episodes in April and May.

Entertainment Weekly is making this sound like a very exciting concert tour, and they posted a nice video of what concert-goers could expect at one of these performances later on in May. If all of the stars show up like has been advertised, it could turn these concert dates into very huge events for fans as well as the show.
