"Glee": A Show that Delivers a Message of Uniqueness Through Entertainment
The Following is Just a Few of the Reasons as to Why You Should Watch Glee
The Students Are Hot
It does not hurt "Glee" that they have a solid cast of eye candy. Lea Michele plays the nerdy Rachel Berry with pure sexiness. She makes you feel bad for the way you treated some of the nerds in your own school through showing us sexiness not only comes from the outside but from the confidence you exude from the inside. Jayma Mays (Emma Pillsbury) is another example of the sexy nerd but from the adult perspective. Fellow cast members Dianna Agron (Quinn Fabray), Kevin McHale (Artie Abrams), Cory Monteith (Finn Hudson), Amber Riley (Mercedes Jones), and Chris Colfer (Kurt Hummel) also bring sexiness to the show in their own unique way.
The Music Is Really Good
This is not your ordinary music show in which the actors are not really the people singing the songs. Each actor possesses their own unique singing ability. When you bring all of these unique abilities together you end up with amazing original and new songs. The episodes in which the cast covers Lady Gaga, Brittany Spears, and the Rocky Horror Picture are true classics. Their renditions pay homage to the classics we grew up with while offering the viewers something new at the same time. The music is what has made this show truly unique and is the number one reason you should tune in.
The Celebration of Diversity
One of my favorite things about "Glee" is the show's ability to bring attention to how diverse we are as a society while showing how similar we all are at the same time. In order to see this diversity you need to look no further than the "Glee" Club itself. The club has a gay kid, cheerleaders, football players, someone in a wheel chair, and more races than most of us probably had in our own schools. "Glee" is sending the viewers the positive message that no matter what we look at we are all the same. This is as important of an element to the success of the show as the music is.
These are just a few examples as to why you should take a minute out of your busy Tuesday evening and give the show a chance. You will more than likely come up with your own list of reasons as to why you like the show. This is what a good show is supposed to do. "Glee" is capable of bringing different viewing audiences together simply by having a show that is simply based on that same idea, coming together.
