Glee Wannabe Mary Pascoe

N. Hollywood's Finest

Jesse Schmitt
My buddy Mary Pascoe loves Glee. Mary Pascoe is one half of The Raging Peanuts and quite the accomplished actress and solo musician as well, but for weeks now all I've been hearing out of my Facebook friend has been about this Fox TV show Glee. Glee is a very popular show and Glee is looking for a few new regulars to be on their musical theatresque show. I couldn't think of anyone more suited to this role than my scarlet haired drama queen vixen friend Mary Pascoe and this is why I'm speaking out on her behalf that she be granted the opportunity to shine on the world stage that is Glee.

Many of the regular readers of Associated Content may recognize Mary Pascoe's name ripped straight from the pages of Associated Content. Whether it was in one of my pieces about her solo performance or her latest work with band mate Cory Pearman in The Raging Peanuts or if you've read some of Mary's own journalistic efforts here, Mary Pascoe is a name which should resonate around the tents here in Associated Content world. However to truly capture the essence of who this intense ball of emotions is you need to see her perform live. Especially in her solo efforts as Mary Pascoe, she really gives it her all. Even in her more tandem events with The Raging Peanuts, her musical prowess is a force. Moreover her virtuoso style and quick wit would make a great addition to the Glee community.

While Mary is her own best outlet, she has told me that Glee is "seeing both pro and non-pro actors," so for her end she will have plenty of potential contenders to deal with. Again, from Mary, "the auditions are being done on MySpace, and (the process is) to submit a 1 minute statement of why we belong on "Glee," and then either sing either a'capella, with a single instrument, or with their karaoke track."

Sounds like an Amy Poehler original; getting down and dirty with the "ancient Japanese art of Karaoke." In all seriousness though the competition is intense. Mary Pascoe tells me that she is ready to answer that clarion call and has brought out the big guns; REO Speedwagon's. "Can't Fight This Feeling."

Picking a classically cheesy tune such as that is perfect for her audition on Glee. If Mary Pascoe is able to belt it out like I've seen her belt out others before, then the pickins are going to be mighty slim for everyone else.

But I don't want to jinx her; I'm sure the good producers over at Glee will make an informed decision, taking into account all the factors at play, and will crown the winner accordingly.

If my good friend Mary Pascoe does happen to be one of those selected, it won't have anything to do with me...

...but if she is the next new Glee character, don't say I didn't say so!

How cool to see one of AC's own names in the running for Glee. Good luck to her, I hope she gets it. I voted for her video on MySpace and gave it a gold star..
