Global Hackers Are the New Modern Day Terrorist

Alfonso Coley
The world in which we live is a much different place than what it was before computers became the mainstay of our everyday lifestyle. The landscape of our activities are being exposed by computer hackers who wish to compromise our security and lifestyle. The ultimate step for the dissimilation of America's security is global terrorism, and believe it or not - Al-Qaeda's main mission for 2010 and 2011 is to disrupt America's security systems. There are two ways to ultimately perturb any super powers functionality and way of life; it is none other than global hacking, the FBI, the CIA, and other countries are quite aware of what is happening in their backyard security systems.

Some of the most recent serious threats that concern global hacking include; global warming data and statistics were compromised in 2009, the institute that compiles information concerning these stats was altered to the point where the info was incorrect.

In the last eight years China has been under serious threat by global hackers, they have disrupted many vital and important functionalities pertaining to ecommerce, daily business, and banking. Professor Yu Xiaofeng of China is a specialist of non-traditional security at Zhejiang University in Hangzhou. The professor gives some very important and vital perspective on how global hackers have an intense negative affect on the world's overall security, personal information that is stored online, passwords that are not protected, and financial personal information. "In the age of information, a nation's security would be at serious risk if its information systems were attacked, or the flow of information were interrupted,"

Professor Yu Xiaofeng knows that the reality of global hacking does exist and always will exist; this is the new modern day terrorist activity. ""In a worse-case scenario, a security breach could result in the breakdown of the energy supply and collapse of the financial system, not to mention a collapse of the national defense capability."

All the super powers of the world are not safe from the threat of global hackers, the Royal Bank of Scotland and several Russian banks and institutions were hacked in 2010 and 2009. Global hacking is a world-wide community problem, what may be more important is that these communities may fail to realize that terrorism has no boundaries concerning who they harm.
