Make a Difference Up Close and Personal with Whales and Dolphin

Every member of the team will share in the responsibility of life on the boat as well as research. Cooking and cleaning are part of crew duties but there will be ample time for cetacean spotting, hydrophone monitoring and recording research data on computers. As a member of the crew you will assist in navigation and piloting the sailboat. This is a great way to gain sailing experience for future expeditions. The opportunity for gathering beautiful photographs of the world's largest and most intelligent animals. Photographs taken by you may assist in the preliminary study of cetacean behavior.
The Project
The Ligurian Sea is rich in nutrients, attracting more cetaceans (dolphins and whales) than any other section of the Mediterranean. This area was deemed a cetacean sanctuary in 2002. Your participation will assist in future planning for the conservation of these remarkable marine mammals.
