Global Warming, ADHD and Church/State Separation: 3 Dangerous Myths

Marty K.
In a previous article I went over some common misguided beliefs that exist in our society and I felt it is was important to bring them to the surface. I have subsequently considered 3 more important myths to reveal:

Myth #1: Global Warming

Telegraph.co.uk informs us, "Al Gore's environmental documentary An Inconvenient Truth contains nine key scientific errors, a High Court judge ruled. The judge declined to ban the Academy Award-winning film from British schools, but ruled that it can only be shown with guidance notes to prevent political indoctrination...Judge Michael Burton ruled that errors had arisen 'in the context of alarmism and exaggeration' in order to support Mr Gore's thesis on global warming."

As related by canadafreepress.com, "Professor Bob Carter of the Marine Geophysical Laboratory at James Cook University, in Australia gives what, for many Canadians, is a surprising assessment: Gore's circumstantial arguments are so weak that they are pathetic. It is simply incredible that they and his film are commanding public attention."

Hundreds of other prominent scientists have debunked the beyond-the-natural version of global warming. I respectfully suggest that it is (1) a dangerous distraction from the real problems that confront us, (2) based on stupidity, ignorance, arrogant elitism or demonic logic and (3) on the level of the cartoon character, Chicken Little, who tried to convince everyone that "the sky is falling."

Myth #2: ADD/ADHD

30 years ago, the ADD or ADHD "diseases" did not exist. I suggest the educational system has invented them in order to cover for its own dismal failure and intolerance of normal, bright children who are bored to tears with their rubbish being taught and uncaring, monotonous personnel. The system is projecting blame onto the young, while abusing them with mental anguish and dangerous drugs. Doctors have demonstrated their incompetence in regard to these alleged "diseases," and if they had any sense or principles, they would not be prescribing drugs that harm children, for the sake of what is not real.

Losthorizons.com sums it up very well: "The latest effluvia disgorged by the American Academy of Pediatrics, an organization vigorously striving to supplant, or at least acquire veto power over, parental authority, is a disturbing reminder and indictment of its own member's practices.

In this greasy ooze, these solons offer guidance on selecting which children are sufficiently wearisome to their parents (both the custodial and the in loco variety) to need drugging with Soma... I mean Ritalin..., in a left-handed acknowledgement that their members have wallowed in a completely promiscuous abandon in this matter in the past. They're saying, in effect, that maybe, just maybe, a few of their millions of misdiagnoses made thus far have been poorly founded and excessive, while hastening to add that there are also undoubtedly some poor victims of this mythical ADD/ADHD syndrome tragically left unmedicated.

If the practice were not so pernicious, one would have to smile, contemptuous but entertained, at these dealers pompously trying to spin their previous malpractice into mere over-earnestness. But of course, it is that pernicious. One can only recoil in horror at the thought of the beautiful little children whose vivaciousness and precocity have been made the excuse for utter betrayal by the adults upon whom they rely for protection and nurturing.

Frankly, any doctor who prescribes this or any other psychoactive agent to a child not engaging in chronic physically endangering behavior ought to be stripped of their license and imprisoned for child abuse, along with most of the parents who permitted it and all of the teachers or social workers who encouraged it."

I respectfully agree.

Myth #3: Separation of Church and State is a Part of the U.S. Constitution and God Should be Shunned

The words "separation of church and state," do not appear in the Constitution, contrary to popular belief. It's amazing how many people believe this phrase exists as a constitutional "clause," even though they've never seen it. Please refer to my article on this topic, "Is There Really Supposed to be a Separation of Church and State?"

  • what a load of bullcrap12/28/2010

there is undeniable evidence that global warming is real. even though the earth's temperature goes through cycles of different temperature, it is undeniable that humans are causing the earth to increase in temperature.

you know what? computers didn't exist 30 years ago either. add/adhd is a condition, and there is a set of criteria that diagnoses patients for these diseases.
