Global Warming and CO2

We have been inundated with information about how our use of automobiles and modern technology have pumped tons of CO2 into the air and are causing global warming because CO2 is a greenhouse gas. Global warming and CO2 seem to go together, and they do, but would you like to get in on a surprise? We have had years of reduced temperatures, and you know what happens when the global average temperature drops? The CO2 levels rise! Interesting, but how can this be?

When the earth's average temperature drops, the summer season ends a little sooner, and the cooler climate area's like the northern parts of the US and Canada cool down sooner. This causes a reduced growth in grass and other vegetation in these colder area's. What does vegetation do? It consumes CO2, the greenhouse gas, and replaces it with oxygen! In other words, the earth has it's very own thermostat that automatically reacts to subtle temperature changes and is quite capable of handing a great deal of change. In fact, it is estimated by some that all our fossil fuel burning and car driving is only adding 2% of the increase recently recorded in our CO2 levels, the rest is done by Nature, that force that is far beyond our understanding.

The delta temperature is the term used for the actual change in average global temperature. The average Delta temperature for the earth from Jan 2007 to Jan 2008 by four well respected sources of global average temperature is down 0.6405 degree's centigrade which is a huge drop in temperature for one year. Many of those who are on the global warming bandwagon are the same people who were on the Ice age bandwagon of the 1970s, which shows a lot of consistency and dedication to their cause as well as a lack of solid scientific foundation to their beliefs.

Historically, the earth has constantly fluctuated from hot to cold, including the ice age we have all be taught about. During the era around 1100 BC there was a global warming that was double the peak we have recently seen, and over the past few years indications in temperature fluctuations seem to be showing a global cool down rather than a global warming trend.

There is definitely a relationship in global warming and CO2 gases, that seems to have it's origin in the area of Washington DC, and this global warming trend has spread slowly across the country and even around the world. Considering the fact that these are the people who are in control of trends and solutions, if they really believe that Global warming is a man made issue, (other than a man made legislative issue), then why do they not pass legislation to set up conversion plants to extract hydrogen from water to replace the fossil fuels? We could absolutely eliminate all gas pollution in one year and convert all cars to the new clean burning recyclable water. Ahh but alas, I fear that Al Gore IS the inconvenient truth, and George Bush is an Oil family, and neither wishes to leave their status in favor of eliminating global warming. Perhaps this says something, perhaps it says it all..

LOL Monique... That is funny, serious, but funny too. I guess if you look from an airplane, we don't look like much more than a bad case of fleas...

I have always thought it was arrogant of people to assume people can control global warming, the ice age, or anything else with mother nature in the driver seat. When she gets tired of us, she'll shake us off like a bad case of fleas.
