Global Warming or Global Cooling?

Global Warming or Scientists Stuffing Their Pockets with Money?

Marie M. Daniels
First the scientists said we had Global Warming and we needed to reduce our greenhouse gasses. So there has been a major global effort to reduce methane gasses and try to combat global warming. Now more and more we are hearing about Global Cooling. Is Global Warming real? What about Global Cooling? Are these scientists and Al Gore just jumping on the bandwagon to make a buck?

When this whole global warming effort came about I was not really skeptical. I had no reason to believe these people in positions of authority or scientists would feed me a line. Later after a little of my own research and after seeing other scientist's findings, I no longer believe in global warming. I believe that global warming is a scam.

Al Gore came out with his project, "An Inconvenient Truth" which led him to receive the Nobel Peace Prize later in 2007. He jumped on the global warming bandwagon or saw some kind of after presidential candidate opportunity. Everyone it would seem wants a piece of the global warming financial pie.

It came to my attention that many scientists will jump on board of any big thing so that they can get funding to study what they really want to other than global warming or global cooling. It has been said that the scientists at NASA have done this same kind of thing as well. It is understandable that people would want to fund the hip in cause such as global warming verses studying what happens when you give bees cocaine. These scientists come up with some facts or a study that is small or obscure but it supports the global warming theory so they show it to their benefactors.

Just because I don't think global warming is real or something that we need to worry about doesn't mean I don't care about the planet. I think it is important to recycle and try to put less in landfills and reduce emissions so we can have clean air to breathe. I don't want the earth to become a barren wasteland in spite of global warming or global cooling.

Scientists are not the only group people who are using the global warming phenomenon to their advantage. Public interest groups and "green" groups are using global warming to push their green living agendas. Politicians and business lobbyists are also trying to exploit global warming to their advantage. These groups of people will continue to use global warming and then global cooling as their ride on the money machine.

There might be global warming or cooling but the important issue is whether we, as a human race, can do anything about it.

There are a host of porkies and not very much truth barraging us everyday so its difficult to know what to believe.

I think I have simplified the issue in an entertaining way on my blog which includes some issues connected with climategate and "embarrassing" evidence.

In the pipeline is an analysis of the economic effects of the proposed emission reductions. Watch this space or should I say Blog

PS The term "porky" is listed in the Australian Dictionary of Slang.( So I'm told.)

It is shocking that we can't trust anyone with authority to give us the truth! Excellent perspective on Global Warming and Global Cooling.
