Because all of this power consumption is adding daily to the atmospheric pollution it needs to be reduced drastically.
Politicians are failing to focus on the most obvious solution which is to reduce the worlds population. One route would be genocide, but I don't think that would ever happen, it would certainly not be a vote winner, would it. Mass sterilisation is also a non starter, just think of the costs involved, if we only sterilised half of the population it would cost a small fortune, not only that, the logistics of getting all of these people to the sterilisation units would be an absolute nightmare.
So that leaves us with cannibalism, I know that the thought is highly contentious, but set aside your preconceptions and religious beliefs for a moment and take a look at the benefits this would bring.
First of all human flesh is highly nutritious, low in cholesterol and, as we all know, there is an abundance of it. We already have a huge number of people in prison who could be our first crop, so to speak. Look at the advantages that this would bring on its own, there would be no more need for prisons or staff. The cells could then be used to house poor people, once the inmates had been dealt with, thus generating an income. As there is a steady influx of criminals into the legal system, we could set up abattoirs at every courthouse which would drastically cut the transportation costs, this would also help in reducing our carbon emissions.
Should these measures fail to reduce the population to an acceptable level, the next step would be to target those in society who are a drain on our resources, for example the sick, the elderly, alcoholics (ideal for cock au vin) and those horrible little oiks who wear hoodies and walk about with their arses hanging out.
This is just an idea at the moment, but I think that with a little bit of work, and some new laws, it would be an extremely practical way of reducing the impact of the human race upon the planet and saving bucket loads of money at the same time. If you find yourself in agreement with this, or should you have any ideas of your own, along similar lines, please write to your government and let them know.
