Global Warming: Is it Too Late?

Pat Lunsford
If man caused Global Warming then perhaps it would be possible for man to stop it, but the actual cause has yet to be determined. Most of the experts who are locked in debate over the subject seem more interested in trying to prove they're right and that those who oppose them are wrong; rather than the truth.

The truth, whatever it is, is the key to knowing whether or not Global Warming can be stopped. If it is all part of a natural earth cycle, it will continue and there's nothing man can do to change it. And even if an attempt were made to stop the earth's natural cycle, we could quite possibly make matters worse.

On the other hand, if man has indeed caused Global Warming, we may be able to stop it if actions are taken before it's too late. However, in order to help stop Global Warming, the whole world would have to cooperate and that's just not going to happen.

Wealthy corporations and industries will feel the greatest impact and the economy will suffer greatly, which is why so many are fighting it. And how can you blame them? They stand to lose fortunes over an unproven threat, which could turn out to not be a threat at all. Look at all of the previous threats we have faced in the past such as nuclear war, global cooling, and Y2K, which never happened.

Nevertheless, the recent Senate Report states that Global Warming is NOT man-made. The updated U.S. Senate Report, released December 11, 2008 states, "Many scientists from around the world have dubbed 2007 as the year man-made global warming fears bite the dust'."

What is more, other planets are experiencing global warming. Therefore, whatever's causing it, Earth isn't the only planet being affected.

Therefore, it seems quite evident that the same thing affecting other planets is influencing the earth's climate as well and there doesn't seem to be a whole lot we can do to stop it. The best thing we can do at this point is to begin adapting to the changing climate.

We are approaching the end of the age and Jesus Christ warned us about what was going to take place. God created this world, which he will destroy when the time is right. It could be in a thousand years, or it could be today. However, those who belong to Him will be spared.

"But there shall not an hair of your head perish." (Luke 21:18)

As for those who haven't turned to God by accepting the way of salvation; He provided through Jesus Christ

"And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken. And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory." (Luke21:25)

It is only natural to worry about the environment and what's happening in the world for the sake of our loved ones and us. But physical life is temporary and the afterlife is eternal. The destiny of our souls should be our first priority.

Seek Him today while He can still be found.
