Those who are gluten sensitive in my hometown of Milwaukee, will be pleased to know what an array of choices they actually have when embarking on dining out. Let me begin with my very own place of employment, Outpost Natural Foods.

With three locations in Milwaukee to choose from, the east side on Capitol Drive, or Wauwatosa on State St and in the hip and trendy area of Bay View near Lake Michigan. Outpost has a great bill of fare when it comes to the gluten free items on their menu. If you're looking for great deli sandwiches, you'll find them at Outpost. They can make a gluten free sandwich from any sandwiches they make and there are also many other gluten free options for dessert from the deli after your sandwich is history.

Beans and Barley

Beans and Barley, located on the hip, cool, and trendy east side of Milwaukee is among the leaders in gluten free casual dining. A wide variety of whole food, raw food and gluten free items adorn the store as well as the restaurant. The staff is well versed on which items are gluten free and how they are used. They also are aware of how some of the foods are slightly altered to accommodate those that are in need of staying away from gluten.

With a separate menu devoted completely to a gluten free, this restaurant located in fashionable Brookfield on Bluemound Avenue makes it easy for those that need gluten free food. This is a great restaurant choice for those that are not super health minded and stick to standard American foods for the most part.

Crawdaddy's is a great place to feel catered to if you're gluten sensitive.They will be sure to make any adjustments you need to your menu choice, doing whatever it takes to keep you free of gluten.
