#1
Define the eyes. If you have a base shadow on your eyes already, use a darker shade to apply into the crease. Carry around a simple eyeshadow compact in your purse or desk drawer that features a base color, highlighter and contour shade to use when you are going out. If you prefer to keep a natural look, use a shimmer powder on the eyelids. Shimmer eyeshadow is perfect for night, and adds subtle sparkle to the eyes. For a glam night out with the girls, add a glittery shadow to the eyes in a vibrant or bold color.
#2
Line the upper and lower lash lines with a dark liner. Since many use eyeliner in a daytime look, keeping it for the night look adds drama and dimension to any makeup being added to the eyes. Use a cotton swab to gently smudge the upper lash liner.
#3
Curl the lashes, and add a coat of mascara. If you already had a coat of mascara on the lashes, adding a second coat will help the lashes stand out against the darker eyeshadow. If you are going all out with the eyeshadow, add faux lashes to complete the look. Simply add eyelash glue to the lashes, and set them close to the natural eyelash base and allow to dry. Curl the faux lashes to combine them with the natural lashes and apply a coat of mascara.
#4
Accentuate the lips by using a lip gloss or lipstain. If you are going dramatic with the eyes, keep the lips neutral by wearing a lip color that matches your own lips or choose a nude shade. One simple way to take a day look into night without changing any other makeup is to add a bold color to the lips like red or vibrant pink. If you play up one feature on your face, be sure to keep everything else neutral to avoid looking overdone.
#5
Finish off your night look by adding some shimmer body powder to the neck and décolletage area. Nighttime is the perfect opportunity to add shimmer, whether you use a powder or lotion. To make it easy, choose a scented body lotion that also features shimmer so you can apply before you go out--allowing you to look and smell great.
