Go, Diego, Go! Costume for Halloween

Rosa Hayes
Ever since Dora the Explorer introduced her cousin Diego, children and especially boys, have been crazy about this cartoon character. If you want you child to go as their favorite Nickelodeon character this year for Halloween then you are going to want to read this article on tips and tricks to creating a Go, Diego, Go! costume. Let's start with the simple parts of the Go, Diego, Go! costume. We will first begin by selecting the appropriate attire for this Halloween costume and then build from there.

Go, Diego, Go! outfit

If there is one thing that you can almost guarantee it is a Nickelodeon cartoon character that always dresses in the same clothes. Go, Diego, Go! is a cartoon character who dresses in a sky blue shirt with dark blue pants and a khaki color vest. The same clothing attire that Diego wears can be done by simply digging into your child's closet or by going to your local thrift store and looking for clothing items that are similar.

If you are worried about the budget of putting this Halloween costume together you could always make your own vest by cutting a shirt in the shape of a vest and sowing it up to make your own.

Go, Diego, Go! has blue jean pants on but they are rolled up at the bottom of them. I once dressed a friend of my daughters in a Diego costume and dressed her up as Dora the Explorer and they looked cute together.

Go, Diego, Go! hairstyle

Diego's hairstyle is kind of wild which matches his characteristics of the cartoon character that he plays since he is often in the juggle. To create the Go, Diego, Go! costume hair you can use a bottle of hairspray and try to get your child's hair to stand out kind of wild like Diego's hair. If you are not sure about the hair or want your child to look even more like Diego, many costume shops sell wigs that come in Nickelodeon characters hairstyles.

Go, Diego, Go! messenger bag

The messenger bag adds a nice touch but it isn't necessary. For those who want to add the messenger bag to the Diego costume you will want to look for an orange one like the one that Diego carries.

Any pair of tennis shoes will do to complete this costume. The Go, Diego, Go! costume is probably one of the easiest ones to make.
