Go, Diego, Go! starts out with a turquoise t-shirt that can be purchased at any department store. The shade of turquoise doesn't have to be perfect, but as long as it's within that aqua range, you'll be fine and no one will be the wiser. A short sleeved cotton t-shirt is all you need and if Halloween is hot where you live, you may want to look into a light weight t-shirt for comfort sake.
The next item you need for your Go, Diego, Go! Halloween costume is a pair of knee length shorts in dark blue that has pockets in the legs similar to cargo pants. These pockets are for your little Diego to carry the necessary items he needs to rescue all the jungle animals he comes across during his adventures. They are also great to stuff candy in so make sure that you check all of the pockets of this Halloween costume before you toss it in the washing machine.
Go, Diego, Go! wears a comfortable pair of white socks and black sneakers for walking through the jungle and these will be easy for you to find at your local department store. Plus, they're handy for after Halloween so the investment is well worth the money.
Go, Diego, Go! has a special vest that he wears and this is where creating this particular Halloween costume may be a bit a tricky. Diego's vest is tan with pockets, similar to a hiker's or fisher's vest. This type of vest can be purchased at an outdoor shop or military surplus type store. If you have a Cabala's close by, that is the perfect place to pick up Diego's vest. You will also need to pick up some type of animal rescue patch, because that is what Go, Diego, Go! is all about. Probably any form of animal patch will work. It is doubtful that people will read the patch close enough to know that it's not in proper Go, Diego, Go! terminology. The patch should be ironed on to the vest on the left breast.
Finally, Go, Diego, Go! carries a rescue pack, so any form of plain satchel filled with bandages and ointments, and other medical supplies will work fine. Give your little Diego a watch with a compass that could pass for a communicator and you have yourself one Go, Diego, Go! Halloween costume.
