Want to "go green" but don't know where to start? Why not start with yourself? Switch to some eco-friendly products to kick off your new green living. You'll not only benefit the environment, but you'll benefit yourself as well. There are tons of green products out there, but some of my favorites are green hair care products. Taking care of your hair is essential to your appearance and eco-friendly hair care is fantastic for maintaining healthy hair, especially if you have a head of unruly curls like me. Here are some great green hair care products for curly heads.
- DevaCurl No-Poo Shampoo. This shampoo is a great green hair care product. It contains no sulfates that strip your hair's natural oils. Nor does it contain parabens, which are petroleum-based preservatives. It's made from natural, botanically infused moisturizers instead and scented with Turkish Rose to keep your hair smelling lovely all day. Plus, it's a non-lathering shampoo that works great on dry curls to make them bouncy, shiny, and most importantly, not frizzy!
- Jason Natural Tall Grass High-Protein Conditioner. This conditioner, once again, contains no sulfates or parabens. It's made from botanical moisturizers and wheat protein. It will tame those curls and make them extremely healthy looking.
- Aveda Be Curly Curl Control. This is a finishing product that will give you that glossy, movie star effect without all of the silicone and synthesized polymers used in most hair serums. Rather, it's made from natural oils like tamanu oil and other botanicals. Just a few dabs of this will keep your hair shiny all day but is a light, natural formula without all the hard to remove mess.
- Product. This is a styling pomade that's made for those with extremely curly or kinky hair. It's made from aloe vera, organic shea butter, organic beeswax, and naturally derived Vitamin E. Plus, it has a pleasing, natural fragrance. Rub this over your curls to control those kinks.
- Curl Junkie Curly Boost Curl Enhancing Spray. I love this spray because it will boost your flat curls in seconds to make them bouncy and, of course, shiny! It contains wheat protein, veggie-based glycerin, and essential oils of lavender and jasmine hydrate. This stuff will give you the perfect spirals.
