You have seen them and even thought about using those "green" eco-friendly shopping bags. For one reason or another you have not bought them and continue using the disposable bags. What is holding you back from getting those reusable grocery totes? Maybe you just don't care about the environment or the condition we leave the earth in for the next generation, for our children?
If that wasn't the reason you don't have the Eco bags yet, then it must because you are cheap or frugal. You can go into almost any chain store and find some of the reusable shopping bags for less than one dollar. You argue that you would have to buy too many green bags and it would cost nearly twenty dollars. Your theory is that you would need the same amount of canvas tote bags as the disposable bags. Not so, the eco-friendly bags are sturdier and larger than the disposable ones, so you can pack them with more groceries. If you truly are broke or cheap, try buying one reusable bag during each shopping trip, spreading out the cost over time.
Maybe you think the reusable eco-friendly shopping totes from the grocery store or department stores are just plain ugly. Or you don't want to do any free advertising for anyone. First of all the bags from the pharmacy or grocery stores are not that fashionable, and that is a valid point. For all you fashionistas, there are many places for you to buy fashionable, trendy and sexy eco-friendly reusable totes, try Envirosax.com. The bags from Envirosax are nice enough to use as a carry all tote or even as your regular purse. If you are into sports you can get your favorite football team's logo on your eco-friendly bags. If you buy from an on-line tote store then you won't have to carry around an advert on your new green fashion accessory.
"I already reduce, reuse and recycle," you say. Good for you, keep up the great job recycling and keeping refuge to a minimum. Do you always remember to take your plastic disposable bags back to the store and recycle them? If you can't answer that question as yes, always, then please consider the alternative environmentally friendly shopping bags.
If you are now done making excuses why you don't use the green eco-friendly tote bags then go out and get some. Just make sure you don't forget to take them into the stores with you. Eventually it will become part of your shopping habit and you will automatically bring the reusable bags with you. Now don't you feel good, you are going green and helping the environment, making the earth a better place?
