Former glamor model turned serial reality tv personality Katie Price/Jordan recently quit I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here stating that she wanted to see her children. Instead of jumping on the first flight home to see her family, however, Katie wasted no time in swigging the champagne with her PR team and planning her next move.

I'm beginning to notice a very definite pattern with Katie Price; she's very big on planning these PR stunts, but not so good with following through. Case in point; she agrees to enter the jungle for the reality TV show for the second time, making her more aware than any other contestant this year of the trials and tribulations of being on the show, but leaves barely a week into the show in what can, at best, be described as a tantrum over being voted for one too many Bushtucker Trials.

This is not the first time she's exhibited this kind of behaviour, in her show What Katie Did Next, Katie was shown on the way to a book signing for her new book. Putting aside the arguments about whether Katie Price has anything worth reading to put in a book, this is perfectly normal PR for an author, and a high volume of eager fans awaiting Katie's arrival. However, on the way to the signing, Katie broke a veneer on her tooth and decided to rush to a dentist to have it fixed. Let's ignore the fact that it was just a veneer, and that having being in the aforementioned jungle based reality TV show Katie has been seen looking a lot worse than having one missing veneer, but Katie was then given two options, the veneer could be temporarily fixed, but might fall off again, or it could be properly fixed but her face would be left numb and swollen from the anesthetic. Fans that had waited eight hours to see Katie Price were told, two hours after she had been due to arrive, that she was no longer coming.

Clearly Katie has commitment problems when it comes to her PR; she just can't seem to follow through on her promises when it comes to traditional public relations that require a bit of work on her part. She is, however, good at publicity stunts.

Indeed, with her feet barely out of the I'm a Celebrity Camp, she had told the world that she was no longer with post Peter Andre boyfriend, Alex Reid. As she stated that this was the case "As of when I came out [of the jungle]" it's probably safe to assume that Alex found out at the same time as the rest of us.

It's probably clear at this point that I am not one of Katie Price/Jordan's biggest fans, but this article is not intended just to berate her, it's more intended to be a suggestion. Cancelling book signings, breaking up with your boyfriend on television, taking a huge sum to be on a television show and then walking out, these things do not endear you to the public, and right now the general public seems to be turning against Katie in droves, so I suggest this;

Step out of the limelight. Take a break from planning PR stunts and let the public get angry at something else for a while. Use the time off as an opportunity to spend time with the family that you claim to want to spend time with, and sit down with a genuine PR guru and learn that, when it comes to publicity, follow through is just as, if not more, important than planning.
