We see skin care product advertisements everyday, which boast brands that are 'natural', 'organic' or use 'natural products'. These cost anything from $15 for a small bottle to $60 or more. It all depends on the brand and the product range being sold.

If we go to our pantry and/or refrigerator we can make better creams and lotions to keep our skin looking fresh and young, for less. It's true. The natural products that are all the rage today are actually, not so natural and not so cheap.

Here are ten ways to make your skin glow with natural ingredients taken from your home:

1. Daily Cleanser: Take the juice of 1 lemon and mix it with 1 tablespoon of glycerin. Add a tablespoon of rose water essence. This will create a cleanser that will keep your skin looking younger and feeling softer than any cleanser you could every buy in the store. Use daily.

2. Moisturizing Mask: Take a teaspoon of honey, lemon juice and olive oil. Mix it altogether and set it in the refrigerator for a couple of hours. Apply as a mask and feel your skin becoming moist and fresh.

3. Blemish Removing Cream: Take the peel of an orange or lemon and let it dry. Then grind it to a powder and add a little bit of water to make a smooth paste. Apply it to your face as a mask. It will not only get rid of blemishes it will also make your skin feel fresher.

4. Scrub: Take a couple of bitter almonds and let them soak overnight. Take of the peel and grind to a paste. Add a teaspoon of honey, a drop of olive oil and a drop of lemon. Add a bit of milk if it is too thick. Apply to the face as you would a scrub and watch your pores clear up and black heads disappear.

5. Moisturizer: Mix a teaspoon of honey to yogurt and apply to your face. Wash off after a couple of minutes. It will keep your face feeling soft with no need to apply anything the whole day!

6. Astringent: Mix a teaspoon of lemon juice, a dash of honey and a drop of olive oil. Apply to face and wash after ten minutes. Moisturize as usual.

7. Eye-Bag Remover: Take a few leaves of chamomile and fennel seeds and steep in boiling water for five minutes. Let the water cool and the soak some cotton in the water and put on your eyes. Feel the difference immediately.

8. For normal to blemished skin: Take two tablespoons oatmeal, a teaspoon of honey, a drop of lemon juice and milk to create a smooth paste. Mix all the ingredients together and set aside for an hour. Then apply to your face for five to ten minutes. Rinse clean.

9. Dry Skin: Take a tablespoon of oatmeal, a drop of olive oil, and honey mix with yogurt to make a paste and apply as a mask. Rinse with warm water. You will feel the difference if you use this once to twice a week.

10. Soap: If you don't like using soap on your facial skin try using only a lemon juice and honey mixture. Use a cotton ball to wipe away impurities.

Each of the above and any other natural recipes you may know can be made, put in bottles or containers and kept in the refrigerator for weeks. You will save time and money and yet, have the best looking skin on the block, guaranteed!
