A Poem
to just make it through the day
There should always be something more
I should make plans for myself
And then go in search of how to make them come true
I should envision myself elsewhere
And then discover how to get from one place to the other
But instead I've been lazy
Instead I've been happy with the status quo
Well, not necessarily happy, but rather complacent
I'm not happy
I have let things stand in my way
And I still have dreams and wants and wishes
But I will never succeed at anything
And I will never have anything
As long as I sit here
Allowing what I have to be enough.
