God Attends a Sparrow's Funeral

Robert O. Adair
Lying lifeless--
A little bundle of gray feathers
insignificant to us.
And yet,
the Heavenly Father
cared for him
and marked his fall.
Did He also weep?
Perhaps so, perhaps so.
This little life,
his chirping chorus of joy
in God's creation
is not forgotten.
Not forgotten--
We have His Word.

This reminds me how much I miss "Touched by an Angel." Beautiful poetry.

On a day that I feel so insignificant, comes this gentle reminder. Thanks, my friend.

This reminds me of a poem on the outside of a greeting card, like one of sympathy...Nice work!

This reminds me of how much God loves me. If he cares enough for a sparrow, how much more us, humans, whom He created according to His own image... Thank you for this meaningful poem.
