God in Buddhism

Spygon
Buddha is one of the most common religions in this world. In its teaching, humans are created because of their own desire, attitude and ego, not by God. That law is also applied to animal and all living things in the universe.

Every aspect of living things like birth, illness, age, and death wasn't determined by God. They are determined by every single individual's attitudes. And this is what Buddhists called Karma. The universal law about Karma is that every single living thing will have to pay for what they did in this lifetime and even in the previous lifetimes, no matter whether it is good things or bad things. Good things will result in good things; bad things will results in bad things. However, that's not just as that simple. There are also some other aspects that concern with Karma. But we won't discuss it now since what we are discussing here is about "God in Buddhist". So, the point is that God has nothing to do with every single thing that happens in the universe including weathers, disasters, etc.

Some people believe that Buddha is a God. But, He is not. If they learn deeper about Buddha, they sure will change their mind.

Why?

Because, in Buddhist, Buddha is just a title for someone who has reached the highest enlightenment. He is the one that re-find Buddhist teaching back, learn it, and reach the highest enlightenment. After that, He teaches it back to the others. Then after a long time, the teaching will disappear from this world and another Buddha will appear again.

If that's what Buddha is, then who / what is God in Buddhist?

What does It do then?

In one of the Buddhist Pitaka, the latest Buddha told his students that God is something that has no shapes, no forms, is not born, not created, and not incarnated. But, that's the definition about God in Tipitaka, however, it is also written there that nobody really knows what God is, what It is look like, what do it do, unless they have reached the highest enlightenment. The only way people that haven't reached the highest enlightenment know about God in Buddhist is by hearing others.

So, from this article, we can conclude that people who said that Buddha is a God are completely wrong. Buddha is not a God. But to know exactly about Buddha, they need to reach the highest enlightenment first. And to do so, they have to do the middle way in Buddhist.
