Sin is defined as such:
1. transgression of theological principles: an act, thought, or way of behaving that goes against the law or teachings of a religion, especially when the person who commits it is aware of this
2. shameful offense: something that offends a moral or ethical principle
3. estrangement from God: in Christian theology, the condition of being denied God's grace because of a sin or sins committed

We all carry this. Not even our earthly clothes can hide sin. Yet the blood of Christ is our covering without it Hell, for it is a real place, will have us or to better put you will choose it. Don't be offended, although some are at this point, the truth is present and hopefully you will see your need to wear the blood of Christ on your life. I not talking about being "Churchy" as one man describe it; I dealing with knowing who God is and letting God show you his presence and power in your life, not only to save you, but to give you joy, peace, hope, and more. The blood of Christ is not a gimmick, as far as gimmicks go, it real and will deal with the real situations in your life. Jesus will be there in your pain---even when it still hurts; he'll be there in loneliness---even when people still push you away. When you commit to Jesus, he will not leave you---he loves you too much to do so.
Jesus has provided you with his clothes--his blood. Wear it!

I think if we really understood what you just explained, then many of us would stop trying to cover up with religious fig leaves, and let the blodd cover us and "wear" it as you suggest
