God or Gods? that is the Question

JTA Knowles
Many people believe in a God or gods, but seem to think that their gods are not the same as everybody else's God. Is this as confusing to you as it is to me? Throughout my life I have watched and learned how people practice their beliefs and prayers differently and always say that their religion's way is the right way. Some, like Jehovah Witnesses, believe in Jesus Christ but don't believe he was a part of God. They believe that he was a great prophet that he was a key factor in spreading the Word, but that's all. American Indians worship Mother Earth, animal spirits, and all the elements. Jihads believe that the biggest glory to Allah is to die for their faith. Mormons still privately and sometimes openly practice multiple marriages to many women to one man and believe that the Lord has decreed that it is the way to flourish and build their faith by multitudes, or many children. Some faiths don't believe in Jesus Christ at all. Scientific Christians believe that God created everything by easily explainable scientific means.

What people don't understand and refuse to admit is that most religions are worshipping The One True God of the world. He is the same God in every religion that believes in a God or gods. Each religion chooses to understand the Word of God in different ways. Jehovah Witnesses choose to interpret the Bible as Jesus Christ just being a mortal man, and yes, he was a mortal man. But, God put part of himself in a mortal woman so he could govern us better by experiencing human trials and emotions. God began as a merciless God and became a merciful God through his experience as a mortal for a short time. American Indians have compartmentalized parts of God through all his creations. The Jihads have taken a verse from the original Bible into their Koran and twisted the meaning that God tried to impart to us. He said that Christians would be persecuted by others and we should not be afraid to die for our faith. He didn't mean we should seek out ways to glorify suicide to die for our faith. Mormons grasp upon the verses that appear throughout the Bible referring to multiple marriages and the begetting of children to carry on the Word. That was a temporary fix for the beginning of humankind. We have far surpassed that need, by the huge populations that the earth now has.

As for Scientific Christians, they are correct that almost all creation can be explained by science, except the very beginning of the Earth. God gave us the ability to understand creation through science to make it easier to understand our existence. But how did God do all of these scientific procedures? Atheists believe that it just happened from a single cell. Who created that single cell? The answer is God. How was he able to create the world? Science cannot answer that question, only our Lord knows this answer and we have learned everything that we could about creation that we will ever understand. People are still trying to explain miracles via scientific data. It never works exactly how they think it does. God creating the Earth is an unexplainable miracle.

Some of my Christian family may be offended by the way I explained my idea about the religions of our world, but God also gave us common sense to use it. Science does play a huge part in the history of our world's creation. He just gave us the intelligence to assuage our fierce curiosity of how everything came into being. And the Bible explains a lot of what was, had to be, and will be in a more simplistic way. He does just what our mothers and fathers do when we ask too many questions, he tells us it just is and to be patient and we will know more when we're older. When we grow up we find many truths, and when we get very old, we know even more of the world's machinations. And, when it's time to shrug off our earthly bodies we will finally be able to get our greatest question answered by God himself.

Please note that the religions and their beliefs are what I learned about them throughout my life via friends, internet, etc., and does not, in any way, reflect the exact faiths in their entirety.

This is a correction in a term used for the article above. The word 'Jihad' should have been 'Mujihad', which means a person or persons. This information was given by my father.

The big difference between Jehovah's Witnesses and Christians is that the Watchtower Society's central core creed proclaims Jesus second coming in October 1914.
They sometimes try to obscure this failed prophecy, and say that he came 'invisibly'.

Yes,all other Christains are awaiting Jesus return, the JW say he ALREADY came back in 1914 and is only working through their Watchtower society.
